general contractor IndianaIt would appear that low mortgage rates and their consistent rise over the past six weeks, along with a strengthening job market have encouraged Americans to start building new homes.

According to the June 17, 2013 Bloomberg article by Jeanna Smialek, “Confidence among U.S. homebuilders surged in June to the highest level in seven years… The National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo index of builder sentiment rose 8 points, the biggest monthly increase since September 2002, to 52 during the month, the Washington-based group reported.”

This is excellent news for builders, general contractors and all of the tradespeople who are closely linked to the housing and home improvement industry, including Hearn Construction Inc.

While there was an increase of approximately 28 per cent on the construction of new homes in the US from 2011 to 2012, forecasters expect them to be up even higher for 2013.

With consumer and homebuilder confidence on the rise across the country, now is an excellent time to get started and turn your dream home into a reality.
